HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Arkansas — Will McEntire and Austin Ledbetter, pitchers for the Arkansas baseball team, will conduct a pitching camp on Sunday, December 17, at Hot Springs’ Majestic Park baseball complex.
“The camp will be for players age 9 and older,” John T. Muldoon, assistant general manager at Majestic Park, said. “We’ll have two sessions, one at noon and the other at 2:30 p.m. This will be a great opportunity for youngsters to get tips and information from collegiate pitchers.”
Muldoon said the cost for registration will be $50 per person for each session. Registration forms are at www.majesticpark.org. Spots are limited, he said.
He said each of the two sessions will feature talks by McEntire and Ledbetter, in which they will talk about their journey to becoming Arkansas baseball players, their journey as youth players and the recruiting process.
Each session will then split into three groups with each of the players. Each player will give instruction on pitching. And each camp participant will have an opportunity to throw off a mound with McEntire and Ledbetter offering individualized instruction.
Will McEntire graduated from Bryant High School in 2019. During his Arkansas career he has been a member of two Southeastern Conference championship teams and helped the team to the 2022 College World Series. He recently graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in marketing.
Austin Ledbetter graduated from Bryant High School in 2021. He led the Bryant football team to three state championships as quarterback. He committed to Arkansas to play baseball as a freshman. He received the Gatorade Player of the year, Landers Award, ALL Arkansas Male Athlete of the Year and Outstanding Player of the Year. He is a junior at the University of Arkansas. He pitched in the College World Series in 2022 and is a 2023 SEC champion.
At the conclusion of the camp each participant will receive a Majestic Park camp T-shirt.
The camp is presented in cooperation with the Arkansas Travelers Youth Foundation. For more information contact John T. Muldoon at jmuldoon@majesticpark.org.
